| Abstract | Abstract : Statement of the Problem This study aimed to assess the adequacy of the Performance Appraisal System at the University of Bahrain as basis for promotion and rewards among administrators and employees. Specifically, it provided answers to the following queries: 1. As perceived by the employees, what is the degree of adequacy of the Performance Appraisal System at the University of Bahrain as a measure of the following: work awareness, productivity and performance, interpersonal relationships, personal attributes, and work commitments? 2. As perceived by the administrators, what is the degree of adequacy of the Performance Appraisal System at the University of Bahrain as a measure of the following: work awareness, planning and development skills, managerial and leadership attributes, financial and Human Resource Management skills, and negotiation skills? 3. As perceived by the employees and administrators, what is the overall level of adequacy of the Performance Appraisal System at the University of Bahrain to be used as basis for promotions and rewards? 4. What are the implications of the findings of the study to Human Resource Management? | |
