| Abstract | Abstract : This study examined the direct relationship between trainer, training materials, training environment, social support, trainee motivation, and training effectiveness in Bahrain's public sector generally and local employees specifically. This study also investigated the moderating effect of organizational culture on the relationship between trainer, training materials, training environment, social support, trainee motivation, and training effectiveness. A total of 382 questionnaires were distributed to respondents from four Bahraini public sector organizations (Ministry of Interior, University of Bahrain, Ministry of Education, and Ministry of Finance) after permission was granted by the organization's management. Out of the 382 questionnaires distributed, 155 questionnaires were returned, representing a response rate of 40.58%. However, only 128 questionnaires were usable for final analysis. All hypotheses for direct and moderating effects were tested using SPSS version 23.0. The findings indicated that training environment, social support, and trainee motivation are significantly and positively related to training effectiveness. On top of that, the role of organizational culture as a moderator was found to moderate the relationship between trainer, social support, and trainee motivation and training effectiveness. The results of this study suggested the need to enhance trainer capabilities, social support practice, trainee motivation, and perceived training climate as a way to encourage achieving training effectiveness among public sector professionals. Furthermore, public sector management also needs to consider the role of organizational culture when planning to enhance public sector employees' training effectiveness, especially when involving social support and trainee motivation. This study contributes to expanding Kirkpatrick theory by exploring and testing the role of organizational culture in the research framework.
