| Abstract | Abstract : The wolf in Qasim Haddad's poetic experience represents a central sign, which establishes its own semantic field through innovation and uniqueness, and moves semantically within an integrative process (semiosis). Accordingly, this study seeks to read the representations of the wolf and reveal their connotations methodologically, using the semiotic approach and its analytical procedures in the semiotics of passions according to Greimas and Fontane to study narrative programs and antithetical binaries, in addition to benefiting from the cultural semiotics of the Tartu-Moscow group; in order to interpret passions semiotically and reveal the different representations of the wolf. The study is divided into an introduction, four chapters, and a conclusion. Introduction: In which I discussed the wolf as a central sign and a place of doubt and certainty in the text, and as a semantic process (semiosis), and as a closed and open meaning that the semiotics of passions and cultural semiotics will decipher Chapter One: The Wolf: Between the Formation of the Literary Subject and the Formation of Passions: In it, I talked about the relationship between the wolf and the practice of writing, and the role of the passion of solitude, the passion of temptation, and the passion of authority as semiotic spaces in the formation of the mental image of the wolf. Chapter Two: The Wolf and Freedom: Between the Stylistic Event and the Sufi "Transformation": In which I discussed the lexical and semantic manifestations of Sufi passions, and the role of the semiotic square and the antithetical dualities in interpreting the narrative story and the mental representations of the wolf within the framework of the passion for freedom. Chapter Three: The Wolf: Between His Image and the Passion of Motherhood: In it, I addressed the issue of poetics and seduction associated with poetry as a new space that reveals a new awareness of the representations of the wolf. In addition, I discussed the role of the phenomenon of intertextuality in the formation of the mental image of the wolf, all within a context that embodies the passion for motherhood Chapter Four: The Wolf: From the Space of Argumentation to the Passion of Rebellion: In it, I addressed the relationship between poetry, narration, and argumentation on the one hand, and the relationship between passions and argumentation techniques on the other. I also explored the role of the passion of rebellion in the development of the mental image of the wolf and its representations through the argumentative trial. In conclusion, I reached several results, the most important of which are: 1- Qasim Haddad's experience created a specificity for the wolf, as a symbol that carries cultural connotations to serve new references, which are human passions. 2. Interpreting the symbolic connotation of the wolf and highlighting its representations in Qasim Haddad's poetic experience reveals a new awareness of the specificity of the literary subject. 3. Semiotics of passions plays a prominent role in revealing the development of the symbolic connotations of the wolf in Qasim Haddad's experience and awareness of its various representations, by revealing the role of passions in the formation and development of their connotations. 4. Studying the opposing dualities and the connotations generated from them reveals a new awareness in the field of human passions. 5. The semiotic square is of great importance in revealing the connection between the similar and contradictory connotations of passions, and this can be employed in interpreting the narrative story and the representations of the wolf in Qasim Haddad's poetry 6. Cultural structures and patterns can control positive passions such as love, longing, hope, patience, motherhood, and freedom, in addition to negative passions such as loneliness, fear, power, temptation, need, rebellion, anger, revenge, and slavery. 7. Cultural structures play a major role in shaping the emotions of the self and judging them negatively and positively, and they also play a major role in the development of wolf representations in Qasim Haddad's poetry.
