Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to identify the most important obstacles that stand in the way of the progress of the Bahraini national basketball team. Many questions have come up in the researcher's mind about the nature of these obstacles, the order of importance of these obstacles, and how each obstacle influences the progress of the Bahraini national team. To reveal these obstacles, the researcher has used scanning methodology as it suits the aim of this study. Having passed through many administrative pilot studies, the researcher has designed a questionnaire covering all who is related to the basketball domain in A.R.E. and the state of Bahrain. It fixed a few domains: i.c., the domain, the technical domain, the socio-psychological domain, the health domain, and the publicity domain. The most important results the researcher has reached was the complete cooperation between all the relevant departments in the sports affairs in general and in the basketball domain, namely the general association for basketball, the Olympic committee, the Ministry of education and the Bahraini Federation for basketball is a must. Moreover, the above mentioned organization must adopt some planning programs and administrative follow-up to the Bahraini basketball in general and the Bahraini national team in particular.
