A study of selected international firms doing business in or from the Middle East: case studies of DHL-Middle East, Arab Banking Corporation, International Turnkey Systems and Investcorp

Abstract

ABSTRACT : This project highlights the experiences of some well known compa- nies involved in international operations. It shows not only the Middle Eastern firms' (ABC, Investcorp and ITS) international business operations but also western firm's (DHL) businesses in the Middle East. Every effort has been to provide as much detail as possible about these firms' management, organization, product- mix, marketing, and competition among other issues. The project thus seeks to offer valuable insights and hopefully will be of use and interests to many business students, practitioners and entrepreneurs. The cases have been written in such a way that these could be easily developed as teaching cases and this is one of the inherent objective of the project.
