Abstract

Abstract : This study aimed to determine the extent to which library services and information are available for people with special needs in libraries located in the State of Kuwait. It also discussed the difficulties libraries may face in providing these services and the suggested plan that may help reduce these difficulties. The researcher used a field study as a methodology to achieve the goals of this study. The researcher used a detection tool to determine the extent to which library services and information are available for people with special needs in libraries located in the State of Kuwait. This was considered the problem of the study, and we found some results and recommendations to solve this problem. It was found that there is a shortage of these services for this category of people with special needs. The libraries in Kuwait find it difficult to provide these services, and the majority of libraries' secretaries are not qualified to provide these services. The researcher provided a suggested work plan to provide developing library services for this category of people with special needs in the State of Kuwait
